October 22, 2022

At approximately 07:43 hours this morning, the Plymouth Fire Company No. 1 (Montco 43) was dispatched to the I-476 Southbound ramp of the Blue Route to I-76 Westbound for a reported vehicle fire. Multiple 911 callers were reporting a truck on fire.

Chief 43 arrived within 5 minutes of the dispatch confirming a bucket truck well involved in fire and established command. Engine 43 with a crew of 4 arrived as the first due engine and placed the front bumper 1¾" hoseline in service to knock down all visible fire.

Squirt and Rescue 43 made the response and once on scene shuttled their tank water into Engine 43 with their crews assisting with final extinguishment and overhaul. Command placed the fire under control within 20 minutes and station 43 was clear from the scene just before 08:30 hours. There were no reported injuries and the scene was turned over to the PA State Police.

Units: CHIEF 43, ENGINE 43, SQUIRT 43, RESCUE 43
