Last evening at 21:55 hours, your Plymouth Fire Company No. 1 (Montco 43) volunteers were dispatched to the unit block of Cottonwood Court in neighboring Whitemarsh Township to assist the Barren Hill Fire Company on a reported dwelling fire.

Harmonville Fire Company No.1's Chief 44 arrived to a 2.5 story single family dwelling with smoke showing. Engine 44 and Engine 29 arrived and placed multiple handlines in service finding a chimney fire with extension into the walls on multiple floors of the residence.

Ladder and Deputy Chief 43 with a crew of 7 made the response and assumed 2nd due truck company responsibilities upon arrival. The crew performed a primary search of the 2nd floor and then assisted with opening up for the engine companies and overhaul while the operator placed the main to the roof and threw multiple ground ladders on the exterior. Deputy 43 was assigned as the command aid for the duration of the incident.

Station 43's crew operated for just over 2 hours before being released by command just prior to midnight.
