Auxiliary of Plymouth Fire Co.
Formerly and affectionately referred as the “Ladies Auxiliary,” The Auxiliary of Plymouth Fire Company was established prior to 1933. It is believed to have been formed shortly after the formation of Plymouth Fire Company in Connaughton.
In the past, the auxiliary has assisted firefighters at fire calls, by preparing meals and providing drinks, before the days of the “Canteen trucks.” The auxiliary earned a reputation for their hoagie sales and casino trips in the past. The auxiliary currently undertakes several fundraisers a year, including their long-standing, annual Penny Auction as well as their Trivia Night. In addition to their fundraising endeavors, the auxiliary assists the fire company with other public events.
The Auxiliary meets on the first Wednesday of every month at 7:00 PM.
New members are always welcome!
