Engine and Squirt 43 Knock Down Well Involved Vehicle Fire Sunday Morning

At 02:49 hours this morning the volunteers of the Plymouth Fire Company No. 1 (Montco 43) were dispatched to MM 19.2 Northbound on Route I-476 for the report of a vehicle on fire.

Chief 43 arrived reporting a vehicle on the right shoulder of the highway well involved in fire. Engine 43 with a crew of 3 arrived as the first due engine and quickly placed the 1¾" bumper line in service to begin knocking down the fire. Squirt 43 with a crew of 3 then arrived, positioning to shuttle water to the engine and their crew assisting in extinguishment and overhaul.

The incident was placed under control within 15 minutes with no reported injuries. The scene was turned over to the PA State Police and station 43 was clear and available by 03:30 hours.
