An early start to our Sunday as your Plymouth Fire Company No. 1 (Montco 43) volunteers were dispatched at 05:01 hours to mile marker 17.0 N/B I-476, the Blue Route for a reported vehicle fire.

Engine and Battalion Chief 43 with a crew of 4 responded and arrived as the first due engine company to the correct mile marker of 16.8 N/B finding a pickup truck well involved.

The engine's crew deployed the front bumper 1¾ " hoseline and quickly knocked down all visible fire. Squirt 43 also made the response and assisted on scene with blocking lanes of the highway. The incident was placed under control within 15 minutes and Station 43 was clear and available shortly after.
