Swift Water Rescue Team Drills on Schuylkill River
By Fire Chief John J. Heleniak III
July 23, 2024
This evening your Plymouth Fire Company No. 1 (Montco 43) beat the heat and ventured down to the Schuylkill River for our weekly drill night.
Technicians of Station 43's swift water rescue team along with several support personnel placed both swift water rescue boats into the river to practice their boat operations skills. Personnel cycled through multiple evolutions and scenarios as we continue to prepare for the storm season and any water emergency we may be dispatched to.
A special thanks to the Conshohocken Fire Company No. 2 for allowing us to use their ramp for the evening!
