Last evening, the Plymouth Fire Company No. 1 (Montco 43) was proud to be in attendance at the Bridgeport Borough monthly council meeting to be recognized along with several area fire companies and emergency services personnel for their response and heroic actions at a building fire back on February 22.

That evening units responded to the reports of fire in a large apartment building. First arriving units reported heavy fire conditions from the rear and confirmed multiple residents trapped.

Ladder 43 responded that evening and assisted with searches and evacuations of residents on upper floors. The crew of Ladder 43 was presented a Unit Citation from the Bridgeport Fire Department for their efforts at the fire. We extend our sincere thanks for this recognition and congratulate all of our brother and sister mutual aid companies that responded that evening for the incredible job done!

Lieutenant Jon Drozd represented Station 43 to accept the Unit Citation. As always we are proud of our personnel for their actions that evening and every day! The crew of Ladder 43 were as follows:
