Your Plymouth Fire Company No. 1 (Montco 43) volunteers got an early start to their Tuesday morning as the company was dispatched at 04:19 hours to the 500 block of Summit Street in Upper Merion Township to assist the UMTFD on a reported building fire.

Station 56 units arrived on scene confirming a detached garage well involved. Squad 43 responded as an additional engine company on the working fire dispatch. First arriving engine companies placed handlines in service to quickly knock down the fire. The Squad's crew went in service throwing ground ladders and assisted with opening up a side wall to check for fire extension and allow for final extinguishment.

Station 43 remained on scene assisting as needed until being released by command. The company was clear and available by 06:00.
