| Earlier this evening at 19:39 hours, the Plymouth Fire Company No. 1 (Montco 43) was dispatched to the area of Seven Stars Lane and Gallagher Road for a reported vehicle fire. Multiple calls were coming in reporting a large construction vehicle on fire.
Captain 43 arrived on location and confirmed a backhoe in the area of the Peco property well involved with a large diesel fuel spill feeding the fire. Squad 43 arrived as the 1st due engine and immediately went in service with the front bumper 1¾" line to start knocking down all visible fire.
Command requested an additional engine company from the Harmonville Fire Company No.1 to assist. Engine 44 arrived and supplied Squad 43 with their tank water while their crew assisted with overhaul and final extinguishment.
The incident was placed under control within 15 minutes and companies were clear of the scene by 20:30 hours. |
