At 04:58 hours, the volunteers of Plymouth Fire Company No. 1 (Montco 43) were dispatched to the 100 block of Percy Court to assist the Norriton Fire Engine Company on a reported dwelling fire.
First arriving units found a 2 story MOR townhouse with heavy fire showing from a deck on the Charlie side and extending up and into the structure. With this report the working fire dispatch was struck bringing Ladder 43 in as the Rapid Intervention Team.
Ladder 43 with a crew of 4 responded and acted as the RIT company for the duration of the incident. Engine companies from Norristown Fire Department and Harmonville Fire Company No.1 placed multiple handlines in service to knock down the fire while Lower Providence Fire Department's Tower Co. 53 conducted searches and performed vertical ventilation. Multiple mutual aid companies also responded and assisted with extinguishment and overhaul.
The fire would extend from the deck into all floors of the original fire building along with the roof and 2nd floor areas of the Bravo and Delta exposures. All residents safely evacuated with no reported injuries. Command placed the fire under control within 2 hours and Ladder 43 was available from the scene by 06:45 hours.
