At 12:24 hours this afternoon the Plymouth Fire Company No. 1 (Montco 43) was dispatched to the 600 block of Sandy Street in neighboring Norristown Borough to assist the Norristown Fire Department on a reported dwelling fire.

NFD units arrived on location to find fire showing from a window on the Bravo side of a 2 story EOR dwelling and requested the working fire dispatch. The crews from station 27 stretched an 1¾" line into the fire building and made an aggressive interior attack on the fire.

Ladder 43 responded and upon arrival proceeded to conduct searches in the delta exposure while the operator placed the main to the roof and threw multiple ground ladders. Ladder 43's crew would then open up the third floor of the exposure dwelling to ensure all fire had been extinguished.

Command placed the fire under control within 30 minutes and station 43 was available from the scene shortly after.
